What a downer

Elliot: "Mom, can I watch tv?"

Mom: "No buddy, you've watched enough tv today."

Elliot: "Bummer mom, that's a big bummer."

Where does he get this stuff?

Money can't buy you happiness

Elliot: "Poor Mommy"

Mommy: "Why poor mommy?"

Elliot: "Because you're poor"

Doesn't he know that as long as I have him I'm rich?

Feeling a little under the weather?

Waking Elliot from an almost 4 hour nap and he decides that he needs to sit on the side of the bed for a bit before getting up.  I mentioned to daddy that he had been coughing and we asked if he was feeling sick.  This is the interaction that took place.

"Buddy, are you feeling bad?"

"Yes"

"What's bothering you?"

"You're bothering me daddy.  Go away."

What do you even say to that?
